Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute an annual integrated business plan for your area of responsibility that aligns with the Market and Firm's Strategic and Business Plans. Maintain strong coordination with the Market Vice President (MVP) to develop an operational plan that responds to the operational goals set for the Kentucky operation.
  • Assist Executive Vice President (EVP) in developing marketing plans that respond to the set marketing (and technical) execution goals. Work closely with EVP, and Client Principals (PIC) to ensure that tactical plans are developed that are adequate to meet specified goals.
  • Responsible for accurate and effective tracking and reporting of monthly achievement of the annual integrated business plan.
  • Responsible for utilizing the Way to Win (W2W) process to ensure proper pursuit protocol through collaboration with the MVP, EVP and marketing support staff.
  • Provide leadership through collaboration with the MVP, EVP, and PICs, to achieve the plan goals by successfully meeting performance metrics executing the tactical business plan.
  • Supervise directly or indirectly the various department heads, PICs and Project Managers and the operational functions of those departments by ensuring sufficient resources are in place to operate effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure that high quality project management and technical skill sets are applied to projects utilizing rigorous quality control and management processes to maintain the firm's reputation of excellent work.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering plus 15+ years of job-related experience required. Experience must include senior level business development and leadership within the Transportation Engineering market.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required. Strongly prefer licensure in Florida.
  • Proven past performance in leading and growing transportation practices in different geographic areas including a wide range of services
  • Ability to facilitate the development of and monitor and control marketing business plans and budgets.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong organizational, project, and time management skills.
  • Advanced communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
  • Adept in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues.
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
